HWK Law Group Expands Practice Areas
Hires Esteemed Attorney Chester H. Hobbs, IV
Lutherville and Hagerstown, Maryland, February 20, 2024 – HWK Law Group announced today the newest member of its team, attorney Chester Hobbs. Chester brings with him a wealth of knowledge in estate planning and administration; trust drafting and administration; and commercial, bankruptcy, and corporate law. He frequently advises clients regarding limited-liability companies as well as business and individual tax planning. His experience includes the formation of corporations, partnerships, and other business entities.
Estate planning is crucial for individuals and families to ensure their assets are protected and distributed according to their wishes. With the addition of Chester and his team, HWK’s estate planning services will become even more robust and comprehensive, enabling the company to provide even better guidance and support to clients in Hagerstown and beyond as they navigate important decisions regarding their estates, wills, trusts, and other related matters.

Mr. Hobbs most recently served as the President of Bodie, Dolina, Hobbs, Friddell & Grenzer, P.C. He graduated from the University of Baltimore in 1987, receiving a Juris Doctorate Degree and was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1987 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1988. Mr. Hobbs also received an LLM Degree in Taxation from the University of Baltimore in December 2003.
He received the 10-year pro bono award from the Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Service and is a member of the Chesapeake Planned Giving Council, the Maryland State Planning Council, and the Board of Directors of the Kennedy Krieger Planned Giving Council. He has also served as Chairperson of the Estates and Trusts Section of the Baltimore County Bar Association.
Chester’s joining undoubtedly brings new perspectives, skills, and expertise to HWK’s team, further enhancing the way the company can effectively serve clients and helping drive the firm’s continued success.
